TRAINING WAS ORGANIZED FOR SPECIALISTS OF THE GENERAL CUSTOMS OF MONGOLIA AND MONGOLIAN COMMODITY EXCHANGE
A training course was organized on June 19, 2025, to provide knowledge on the classification, nomenclature, quality, and standards of exported wool and cashmere fiber materials for state inspectors and inspectors of the General Customs of Mongolia, experts of the Central Customs Laboratory, and commercial and registration specialists of the Mongolian Commodity Exchange.
Altantsetseg.D, Executive director of Mongolian wool and cashmere association gave a speech on “The current status of the Mongolian wool and cashmere industry, government policies, and legal environment”, Mungunbayar.M, Consultant of the certification body of Mongolian wool and cashmere association and senior auditor gave a speech on “Conformity certification”, Yondonsambuu.G, Consultant of Mongolian wool and cashmere association and Ph.D, gave a speech on “Cashmere process system and level”, Ganbat.G, Associate Professor, PhD, Mongolian National University of Agriculture, and Certification Expert of the certification body of Mongolian wool and cashmere association, gave a presentation on the topic of “Properties of Wool and Cashmere Fibers” and answered questions from participants and exchanged views.
The characteristics, properties, and samples of each fiber emerging from each technological stage of the wool and cashmere industry (milled wool, tops, lamaze, wazte hair, short cashmere, yak hair, camel wool, sheep wool, washed wool, dehaired cashmere) were presented in detail. Also introduced the activities of the Textile Technology Center under the Mongolian wool and cashmere association, the industry’s worsted combing technology, spinning technology, and how the circular economy is being implemented.
In the future, within the framework of public-private cooperation, the parties discussed ways to increase the skills of inspectors and experts, regularize training to provide professional and methodological advice to relevant customs officials, and improve the effectiveness of state control and quality and inspection assurance in connection with the implementation of technical regulations for dehaired cashmere in the cashmere industry.
