
REPRESENTATIVES OF THE MONGOLIAN COMMODITY EXCHANGE INTRODUCED THE ACTIVITIES OF THE MONGOLIA WOOL AND CASHMERE ASSOCIATION
Resolution No.63 of the Mongolian State Great Khural of 2024 “On Some Measures to Support the Processing of Animal Raw Materials”, Resolution No.166 of the Mongolian Government of 2024 “On the Establishment of a New Cooperative Movement”, and in order to sustainably implement the sector’s long- and medium-term development policy a meeting was held to exchange views on the rational use of cashmere raw materials, the development of export-oriented product production and value chains, the sustainable growth of the sector’s economy, and the creation of effective cooperation activities to expand the market for cashmere products and take exports to a new level.
Within the framework of cooperation between the parties, an electronic database for the origin and quality traceability system of raw materials and products will be developed, raw materials with proven origin and quality will be supplied to national industries, exports will be supported, and animal-derived raw material warehouses at factories and cooperatives will be provided with operational standards. The work of improving the legal environment for participants in the raw material supply chain (herders, cooperatives, factories, and suppliers) and supplying quality-certified raw materials to the international market will be jointly organized in phases.
