MONGOLIA WILL TAKE A PART IN THE MILAN FASHION WEEK FOR THE FIRST TIME
The online meeting was held for the organization of the Milan fashion week with the participation of Minister Nomin.Ch of Ministry of Culture, sport and tourism, Tsenguun.B, head of the foreign relations department, Narantungalag.Ts, Extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador from Mongolia to Italy, Piccaretta Giovanna, Extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador from Italy to Mongolia, President Carlo Cappassa of the Chamber of Fashion of Italy, organization team of the Milan Fashion Week and delegations of Mongolian wool and cashmere association.
During the meeting, Minister Nomin.Ch, mentioned that this is the one step closer to being known to the world the main export raw material of Mongolia, cashmere, and it is a big impetus for the development of Mongolia’s textile industry to the world therefore she informed that 80% of the expenses of this event will be paid by the Ministry of Culture, sports and tourism.
Carlo Capassa, the President of the Italian Chamber of Fashion, emphasized that he is grateful for Mongolia’s support of the fashion sector, including the main sector of textile fashion, and participation in this event.
Selection will be made based on the following criteria such as if the company is environmentally friendly, respects human rights, socially responsibility, if the company production is sustainable, turnover, annual sales and export income, product types, quantity, exporting countries, if the company is the owner of Mongolian Noble Fibre product quality mark and Sustainable Textile Production management standard.
