INTERNATIONAL FINANCE CORPORATION RESEARCH TEAM HAS MET WITH MONGOLIAN WOOL CASHMERE ASSOCIATION
Today, representatives of the International Finance Corporation (IFC), which is preparing a report for the World Bank’s “Country Private Sector Diagnostics”, met with the executive director of the Mongolian Wool and Cashmere Federation.
The IFC produces Country Private Sector Diagnostics, each of which provides a detailed analysis of the overall business environment in a country and presents a specific sector where private sector investment can create growth and development. This time, we are working on developing a Mongolian Private Sector Survey report, specifically the cashmere sector, and its sustainability. In frame of the diagnostics, we aim to analyze the latest and most detailed information on the Mongolian cashmere industry and produce a comprehensive report. This study will attract investment in the Mongolian cashmere industry and provide recommendations to the government on issues facing the industry.
The meeting was attended by Senior Specialist, International Finance Corporation, World Bank Country Office, Jigjidmaa.D, Economist, Javier Gomez, National Advisor to the Diagnostics Development Team S. Vandandorj, and Altantsetseg.D, Executive Director of the Mongolian Wool and Cashmere Association.
Altantsetseg.D, Executive Director of the Mongolian Wool and Cashmere Association, gave information and exchanged information on the Mongolian livestock sector, raw material preparation system, raw material quality, current state of cashmere industry production, human resources, complex system of the certification, capacity, foreign and domestic market, trend and need.
