ASIA-PACIFIC CLUSTER DRAWING CONFERENCE ON COMPETITIVE CAPABILITIES IN MICRO-ECONOMIES WAS HELD.
The Institute of Economics and Graduate School of National University of Mongolia, in collaboration with the Asia-Pacific Branch of the Harvard Business School’s “Economics of Competitiveness” Academic Network and the TCI Asia Branch, are organizing an international scientific conference and a training course on “Cluster Mapping” under the theme “Cluster Collaboration and Co-creation Value” from June 30 to July 2, 2025.
Scientists, professors and teachers from leading universities around the world, including Harvard University, Northeastern University (Boston), San Jose State University, and CamEd Business University, are participating in this event, sharing their knowledge and experiences, both online and in person.
During the event, representatives from the Mongolian Wool and Cashmere Association, Mongolian Export Cluster Network, Mongolian Leather and Dairy Industry Professional Association, Mongolian Fruit and Vegetable Association, Mongolian Beauty Products Cluster, and Mongolian Dairy Cluster management and cooperating organizations are participating in the conference to develop their knowledge and skills.
The conference is at the heart of renowned economic theorist Michael Porter’s “Theory of Competitive Advantage of Nations.” According to his theory, clusters are an important lever for increasing a country’s competitiveness. This is because the conference and training emphasize that the linkages and cooperation between manufacturers, service providers, and supporting organizations that are geographically close and operate in the same sector are not only an important strategic tool for increasing economic productivity but also for supporting innovation, shared development, and competitiveness.
