A MEETING WAS HELD WITH THE MONGOLIAN SUSTAINABLE FINANCE ASSOCIATION
Altantsetseg.D, Executive Director of the Mongolian Textile and Clothing Industry Association, Anand.E, Executive Director of the Mongolian Sustainable Finance Association (ToC), and Sarangoo.U, Coordinator of the Step Ecolab II Project, held a meeting to discuss the provision of green financing for the textile sector within the framework of the Step Ecolab II project to be implemented in 2025-2028.
At the meeting, opinions were exchanged on providing green financing loans to textile factories to purchase environmentally friendly, energy and water-efficient green equipment, and revising and amending the criteria of Mongolia’s Green Taxonomy.
In addition, commercial banks will be introduced to the Mongolian Noble Fibre MNS 6829:2019 standard for products, the Sustainable Textile Production MNS 6926:2021 standard for production systems, and information on certifications implemented in the textile sector. Therefore, planned to organize a meeting to discuss the difficulties in granting loans and hold an online meeting with the Italian Association of Advanced Technology Manufacturers (ACIMIT) in the near future.
